At MHS, students enjoy countless opportunities, including access to state-of-the-art athletic and recreational facilities supported by a dedicated team. We are seeking a part-time Lifeguard Lead to join our team for Summer 2026. This role supports the Aquatics & Fitness Manager and plays a key part in developing and implementing K-12 aquatics and non-aquatics programs at our Community Recreation Center (CRC).
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with supervising part-time staff (13–30 team members), including daily operations and performance evaluations.
Help facilitate lifeguard certification courses, recertifications, and monthly in-service training for MHS lifeguards.
Support graduation requirements, staff meetings, training sessions, and maintain accurate records.
Flexible schedule based on program needs; approximately 20 hours per week. Must be available evenings and weekends from May through September.
Hourly pay: $21.60
High School Diploma or equivalent required.Minimum 1 year of lifeguard experience.
Supervisory experience in recreation, education, or aquatics preferred.
Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, CPR & First Aid required; Oxygen Administration preferred.
Strong administrative and organizational skills with the ability to multitask in dynamic environments.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with diverse students and staff.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
High integrity and commitment to serving as a positive role model for students.
Willingness to actively engage with students beyond core job duties.
Salary : $22
