Job Description:
Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a private school that provides an exceptional education to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Students receive housing, meals, and other benefits, all covered by the school's endowment.
- The school hires married couples as flex houseparents who reside in student homes, guiding and nurturing groups of approximately 8-12 students.
- Flex houseparents provide a family-like structure and handle responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Drive student home vans
- Administer medication
- Budgeting and financial management
- Reporting and documentation
Requirements:
- Experience working with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- Couples must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses should be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Limited pets allowed
- Valid U.S. driver's license required
- Candidates must demonstrate high integrity as staff are role models for students
