SUMMARY OF THE ROLE: To assist students with impairments through consultation, counseling and tutoring, to reach their potential as mature, able and responsible adults
A day in the life:
A typical day involves evaluating students, providing IEP-based services, collaborating with teachers and parents, and completing required documentation. The role also includes making referrals, attending meetings, and ensuring compliance with special education regulations, all while focusing on supporting student growth and success.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required:
- Master’s Degree in Education
- 3 Years teaching experience
- Knowledge of basic sign language skills
Preferred:
- Teacher Consultant approval by Michigan State Board of Education
- Experience as a Teacher Consultant
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, and REGISTRATIONS
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
