Your Tasks:

The Buyer will be responsible for planning and procuring material to support direct and indirect spend activities. This role will play an integral part of the Planning and Supply Chain team and will support a range of routine procurement and planning activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Purchase materials, parts, and supplies following the established purchasing policies and procedures and optimizes price, quality, and terms.
• Create subcontract purchase orders and negotiates blanket purchase order agreements.
• Review demand for materials from a variety of sources and identifies the appropriate fulfilment path.
• Escalate issues that may impact operations with other departments when required.
• Provide ownership of process improvements relevant to supply chain.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure on time delivery of material.
• Monitor vendors’ delivery schedule expedites when necessary and resolves conflicts.
• Attend production meetings and communicate planning and purchasing changes to contracts, process sciences, manufacturing and other affected departments.
• Seek qualified vendor and negotiate best cost that complies with quality systems, production schedule and customer delivery date.
• Keep current of changes in production requirements and in customer delivery needs and communicate changes to vendors as well as internal departments.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate vendors to ensure they are providing the best quality at competitive pricing and make changes when necessary.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve problem areas of shortages, and delays.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree; A minimum of 2-4 years' experience in a buyer or buyer/planner role using ERP tools; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills:

• Strong analytical background and problem-solving skillset
• Experience in an ERP work environment (SAP strongly preferred)
• Microsoft office skills
• Experience working in a pharma or scientific related environment desired

Licenses/Certifications:

• APICS

The anticipated base salary has been established at $74,400 - $100,700/year. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialization, skills, abilities, and training. The above salary range represents the Company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition to your salary, the Company offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, and dental insurance, plus a 401(k) plan. All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses, commissions, or car allowance.
