Job Summary:Property Management firm in Manhattan is seeking an experienced Full-time Security Officer with Fire, Life & Safety Director experience. This role will assume responsibility over security of the premises and compliance with fire, life and safety directives. This security role is for the 2nd shift; availability needed is Monday-Friday, 2:00pm - 10:00pm.Job Specific Responsibilities and Duties:Greets patients of this medical facility and provide direction to the appropriate office during normal office hours.Patrols and monitors areas to ensure safety to tenants, patients and property after hours.Conducts periodic inspections in line with local rules and regulations to identify fire, safety and security risks and implements solutionsReviews, maintains and implements fire prevention, safety, and security plans across facility; conducts fire and non-fire drills, training, etc.Reports suspicious behavior or other emergencies to appropriate authoritiesEnsures security of the building – routinely inspects windows, doors, gates, security system monitors, etc.Escorts trespassers and other unwelcome parties off premisesDrafts and submits reports and work orders related to successful fire, safety and security operationsMaintain accurate and detailed log shift notesPerforms other related duties as assignedBasic Requirements:Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationAble to handle physical requirements (travel safely throughout facility, detain suspect individuals if necessary, lifting., etc.)Valid security guard licenseAbility to obtain Certificate of Fitness for Fire Life & Safety Director (F89/T89) within 6 months of employ.
