Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assess their vehicle service needs, providing exceptional customer service throughout the process.
- Utilize automotive diagnostics to accurately identify issues and recommend appropriate services or repairs.
- Prepare detailed service estimates and explain the necessary work to customers, ensuring transparency and understanding.
- Upsell additional services based on customer needs, enhancing their overall experience while maximizing sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
- Handle cash transactions and manage payments efficiently while adhering to dealership policies.
- Stay updated on automotive technology trends, repair techniques, and dealership promotions to provide informed recommendations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dealership environment or automotive service management is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake repair, transmissions, suspension systems, tire service, and diesel engine repair.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics and repair processes is essential.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients about technical issues in an understandable manner.
- Experience in upselling services and products within an automotive context is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in auto estimating and service writing to create accurate work orders for technicians.
- Knowledge of various automotive systems including air brakes, alignment, shocks & struts, and auto body repair is a plus.
