Daily Schedule: Start/End Times are between 8:00 am - 1:30 pm Hours: Approximately 30 minutes to 2 hours per day - based on school site needs * Applicants can be considered for multiple positions to create a longer work schedule. BASIC FUNCTION: The purpose of a Campus Monitor is to monitor the activities and behavior of students on school grounds during non-instructional periods to ensure a positive and safe environment. This job reports to a Principal.

ENTRANCE QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent is desirable and one of the following: Any other combination of education, training, and experience that could likely provide the desired skills, knowledge, and abilities may be considered. KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: KNOWLEDGE OF: Age appropriate behavior. Basic first aid procedures. Basic cleaning methods. Cultural differences of student population. School safety and security practices. ABILITY TO: Adapting to changing work priorities. Displaying tact and courtesy. Enforcing school rules in an assertive, equitable, and consistent manner. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others. Explaining and following rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Maintaining confidentiality. Working as part of a team. Working with interruptions. PHYSICAL ABILITIES: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Standing for extended periods of time; walking long distances; bending at the waist to assist students; reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally; some lifting, pushing and/or pulling; hearing and speaking to exchange information; vision sufficient to monitor school grounds and student activities; dexterity of hands and fingers to demonstrate activities and prepare materials. LICENSE: Possess and maintain a valid First Aid Certificate is desirable.
