Admissions Coordinator
Luxor Nursing and Rehabilitation at Mills Pond is actively seeking an experienced full time Admissions Coordinator for our skilled nursing facility located Saint James, NY
PRIOR ADMISSIONS EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED!!!
DUTIES:
- Ensure a consistent & effective process for coordination of admissions with appropriate departments and staff
- Understand the admissions process including policy, procedures, pre-admission assessment skills and admission paperwork requirements
- Maintain contact with local community agencies to generate a positive image and encourage word-of-mouth referral activities
- Maintain knowledge of regulations governing Medicare/Medicaid /Managed Care reimbursement processes
- Communicate special needs of new admissions to staff to ensure a smooth transition
- Handle inquiry calls from hospitals, families, etc. & provide appointments that include a presentation, tour and closing
REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior experience in healthcare admissions, marketing & insurance
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Excellent internal sales/marketing skills with the ability to implement the process
- Computer literate, e.g. Word, Excel, etc.
