Our client is seeking a seasoned, driven Maintenance Manager with strong supervisory and organizational skills to oversee the maintenance and mechanical building systems of this 300 unit ultra-luxury mid-rise apartment building.This position reports to the General Manager. The Maintenance Manager will be a hands-on, working supervisor responsible for managing daily activities, which include but are not limited to the supervision and work assignments of the maintenance team and porters, ensuring processes and repairs are fulfilled, as well as the ongoing maintenance and presentation of the appearance of the property.
The Maintenance Manager serves as the custodian of the maintenance program for one of the most high-end and luxurious mid-rise apartment buildings in the Mid-Atlantic. The Maintenance Manager must demonstrate the apex of commitment, competence, organization and service. The Maintenance Manager should be aware of all maintenance issues, preventative needs and service team performance occurring at the property. It is expected that the Maintenance Manager will build, develop and manage a best-in-class service team to ensure that the property is exceeding expectations of both the residents and the owner 24/7.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in residential mid-rise apartment maintenance management and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations required.
- Knowledge of building systems similar to the property and the property maintenance of them.
- Excellent organization, prioritization, time management and project execution skills.
- Universal HVAC (CFC) certification required.
- Residential Management certification preferred.
- Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT) license desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
- Must interact effectively with all levels of employees and external contacts.
- Must work well under pressure, exercise good judgment when making decisions and handle stressful situations in a mature, professional manner.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
A four-year Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field from an accredited university and five (5) years’ experience in a property management organization is required.
