Part-Time Weekend Mobile Dog Groomer

Million Dollar Dog - Mobile Dog Grooming

Service area: Belmont, Gastonia, Mt. Holly, Cramerton & McAdenville, NC

Part-Time | W-2 Employee | Saturdays & Sundays | 30% Commission Tips

ABOUT US

Million Dollar Dog has been grooming pets since 2005 and runs a fleet of 5 mobile grooming vans. We're looking for an experienced, self-driven groomer to own our weekends in Gaston County.

THE ROLE

Every weekend, you'll run your own single-groomer 2017 Mercedes Sprinter. Our full-time office manager books your appointments, takes client calls, and handles phone payments when needed. That leaves you free to focus on grooming and on taking care of our pet parents. We schedule through Pawfinity.

SCHEDULE & VAN

- Saturdays and Sundays

- Flexible hours: plan your day the way you like to work. We recommend 5-6 dogs per day.

- Pick up the van from its home base in Belmont and keep it through the weekend.

- Plug the van in overnight at your home to charge. A regular outdoor outlet and a drop cord is all it takes.

- Sunday night, return the van to Belmont cleaned and with a full tank of gas. Leave a list of any supplies needed and any concerns or issues with the van.

PAY & PERKS

- 30% commission on every groom, plus tips

- Grooms start at $130. For example, 6 dogs at the base price = $234/day in commission before tips.

- Direct deposit every other Tuesday

- Gas card provided

- All tools and products supplied by MDD

- Office manager handles booking, calls and phone payments

- Path to FULL-TIME for someone who shows high initiative, works independently, and doesn't need daily managing

WHAT YOU BRING

- Minimum 7 years of professional grooming experience

- Able to groom pets up to 75 lbs

- Mobile grooming experience is a plus, especially in a Hanvey van

- Excellent, honest communication with pet parents

- Clean driving record

- Must pass a background check

- A self-starter who is comfortable working on their own

- A place at your home to park the van overnight, with an outdoor outlet
