About the role:
As a High School Physical Education and Wellness Teacher at Millington Municipal Schools, you will play a vital role in promoting students' physical fitness, motor skill development, and overall well-being. This position requires the ability to design and implement structured, engaging, and standards-aligned lessons that accommodate students of all abilities, ensuring active participation and fostering an appreciation for lifelong health and wellness. Your dynamic personality and strong interpersonal communication skills will be essential in creating a positive and motivating learning environment.
Beyond the classroom, physical education teachers may also be asked to support the school's athletic programs by assisting with coaching and extra-curricular activities such as football, basketball, softball, baseball, track and field, and other sports programs. A commitment to Tennessee state standards for Physical Education and Wellness, as well as school-wide initiatives that promote student health, is expected. Through both instruction and extracurricular involvement, you will help inspire students to develop healthy habits and an active lifestyle that extends beyond their high school years.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a valid Tennessee teaching license.
- Endorsement in the grade/subject taught
- Governed by the Rules and Regulations of the Tennessee Code Annotated and the collective bargaining agreement.
- Must be physically and mentally able to perform the responsibilities and duties of the position.

We value honesty and transparency in our hiring process. Our salary range for teaching positions is $50,055.20 to $75,398.68, determined by verified years of experience and recognition of a Master's degree.
