Job Summary/Basic Function
The Athletics Department is seeking a responsible, motivated, and academically successful student to serve as a tutor for student athletes. Tutors play an important role in supporting the academic success of student athletes by providing study strategies and individualized tutoring.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a current active student
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must be dependable and responsible
- Clearances are required for this position: PA Criminal Background, Child Abuse, & FBI Fingerprint
Preferred Qualifications
Job Duties
- Provide one-on-one and group sessions for student-athletes in assigned subject areas.
- Assist student athletes with understanding course content, completing assignments, and preparing for exams.
- Help students develop effective study habits, note taking strategies, and time management skills.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to academic support services.
