Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in supervising daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and cash handling.
• Lead and motivate the retail sales team by providing coaching, training, and development to enhance performance and customer service skills.
• Manage employee orientation, onboarding, and ongoing training to ensure staff are knowledgeable about products, policies, and sales techniques.
• Oversee inventory management processes such as stock replenishment, merchandising, purchasing, and inventory control to optimize product availability.
• Handle customer inquiries with professionalism using excellent communication skills and phone etiquette to resolve issues promptly.
• Support sales management efforts by implementing pricing strategies, promotional activities, and POS (Point of Sale) system operations to maximize revenue.
• Assist in recruiting qualified candidates through interviewing and evaluating potential employees to build a strong retail team.
• Ensure operational compliance with company policies including payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and cash handling procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized store environment that adheres to safety standards while fostering a welcoming atmosphere for customers and staff alike.

Requirements

• Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry with supervising experience.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively through managerial communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of retail math including basic math calculations for pricing, sales tracking, and inventory management.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and inventory management tools is essential.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with multilingual or bilingual abilities considered a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
• Demonstrated ability in recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, training & development to build high-performing teams.
• Experience in operational management including merchandising, stocking, shift management, budgeting, and store operations.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently with strong time management skills while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of bookkeeping practices such as payroll processing and financial record keeping is preferred.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
