Millerbernd Manufacturing is seeking a Production Planner. In this role you would be responsible for leveraging people and systems to organize data into achievable production schedules.
What will I be doing in this role?
- Develop, maintain, and communicate department production schedule
- Monitor labor reporting and earned hours against stated targets
- Proactively contribute to tier meetings
- Monitor WIP inventory levels at key production checkpoints
- Collaborate with operations leadership to review, analyze, and adjust production schedules
- Team with department planners to notify of schedule changes
- Participates in continuous improvement activities
- Validate accuracy of issuing material within ERP system
- Analyze material demand and supply to signal procurement regarding needs and shortages
- Assist and support Scheduling Manager as required
What skills will I need for this role?
- Bachelor’s degree or 3 years equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment
- Prior planning experience in a manufacturing setting
- Collect and analyze data to make decisions to support department production targets
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with MRP/ERP, Epicor preferred
- Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of production processes and best practices
- Ability to communicate and work with others as part of a high-performance team
- Adapt to changing work priorities
- Ability to read and understand required internal manufacturing paperwork including blueprints
- APICS certification and understanding of SIOP preferred
