Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Hauler and Truck Driver to transport heavy equipment and machinery safely and efficiently using self-loader, lowboy, and other heavy-haul equipment. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of equipment loading and securement, is safety-minded, and is comfortable operating in a variety of jobsite and road conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate self-loader, lowboy, and heavy equipment hauling trucks.
- Load, transport, and unload heavy construction and industrial equipment.
- Properly secure equipment and loads in accordance with DOT and company safety requirements.
- Inspect trucks, trailers, equipment, chains, binders, straps, and other securement equipment before and after trips.
- Safely maneuver equipment in tight jobsites, construction areas, and uneven terrain.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report mechanical or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery paperwork, and other required documentation.
- Communicate professionally with dispatchers, customers, equipment operators, and jobsite personnel.
- Plan routes and safely navigate around low clearances, weight restrictions, and other hauling limitations.
- Assist with loading and unloading operations when necessary.
- Keep trucks, trailers, and equipment clean and in good working condition.
- Follow all company policies, DOT regulations, and workplace safety procedures.
- Perform other duties related to heavy equipment transportation as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience hauling heavy equipment with lowboy, self-loader, or similar trailers.
- Experience with construction, agricultural, logging, or other heavy equipment preferred.
- Strong understanding of load securement requirements.
- Ability to safely operate around heavy machinery and active jobsites.
- Ability to perform thorough vehicle and trailer inspections.
- Good communication, reliability, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet scheduled delivery times.
- Must be physically capable of handling chains, binders, ramps, and other hauling equipment.
- Ability to work varying hours, including occasional overtime, early mornings, or extended days as needed.

Compensation: DOE

Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
