Water Treatment Technician Apprentice
Miller & Sons Salt & Water Conditioning is hiring a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team as a Water Treatment Technician Apprentice. This is an entry-level position with hands-on training and a clear opportunity to grow into a Residential Water Treatment Technician role.
No water-treatment experience is required. We are looking for someone who shows up on time, works hard, follows instructions, and wants to learn a skilled trade.
Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour
Job Responsibilities
- Assist technicians with the installation and service of water softeners, filtration systems, reverse-osmosis systems, UV systems, and other water-treatment equipment
- Load and unload equipment, tools, salt, plumbing materials, and job supplies
- Carry equipment into basements, utility rooms, garages, crawl spaces, and other installation areas
- Help prepare job sites and keep work areas clean and organized
- Assist with basic plumbing, piping, equipment assembly, and system setup under the direction of an experienced technician
- Support the team with shop work, equipment preparation, inventory, cleaning, and general labor
- Learn proper installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer-service procedures
- Treat customers’ homes and property with care and respect
- Follow company procedures and workplace safety requirements
What We Are Looking For
- Dependable and punctual

- Comfortable performing physical work throughout the day
- Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Professional and respectful when working in customers’ homes
- Mechanically inclined or interested in learning plumbing and water treatment
- Able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds with assistance when necessary
- Comfortable working in basements, crawl spaces, utility rooms, and outdoor job sites
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Schedule

- Occasional overtime may be available or required
Work Location
This is an in-person, field-based position. Employees will report to the Miller & Sons location and travel with technicians to residential and light-commercial job sites.
