Job Title: Field Installation Technician – Commercial Security & Life Safety
Location: Arlington Heights, IL (Territory: ~30-mile radius)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Field-Based
Key Responsibilities
Installation: Perform comprehensive installation of surveillance, access control, and fire safety systems in commercial environments.
Technical Execution: Work hands-on with systems including Verkada (Video/Access), DMP(Intrusion/Security), Digital Watchdog, AiPhone, Kidde, and Notifier.
Field Operations: Run low-voltage cabling, mount devices, and ensure systems are brought online according to code and company standards.
Physical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders, operate lifts, and work in various weather conditions.
On-Call Rotation: Participate in a service rotation approximately one week every 6–8 weeks.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in low-voltage installation.
Strong preference for Commercial experience; purely residential background may not be a fit.
Technical Knowledge:Familiarity with Verkada and DMP is highly preferred. Experience with Kidde or Notifier is a plus.
Certifications:NICET Level 1 is highly advantageous. OSHA and Lift certifications are a bonus.
Soft Skills:Must take ownership of work performed, high integrity, and professional communication skills for client-facing work.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Scale: $25 Room for negotiation dependent on experience/certifications.
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x (Expected ~4–5 hours of OT per week).
Vehicle:Company vehicle provided after 90 days (or sooner based on availability); Gas card provided immediately.
Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage (Eligible after 30 days).
