Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment / Diesel Mechanic to join our team, responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess experience in diesel engine repair, diagnostics, and heavy equipment maintenance. This role offers an opportunity to work with diverse machinery, including industrial machinery and vehicle fleets, ensuring optimal performance and safety across operations.
Duties
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and HVAC components.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, shocks & struts replacement, and brake repairs.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Fabricate parts or modifications using hand tools, power tools, welding, and soldering techniques as needed.
- Repair and maintain heavy equipment including excavators, cranes (Liebherr and Sennebogen) forklifts, semis, and other industrial machinery.
- Assist with assembly and disassembly of equipment components during repairs or upgrades.
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators or forklifts for repair or maintenance tasks when necessary.
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic/ Heavy Equipment Mechanic experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, semis, and tractor-trailers.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, electrical systems repair, hydraulics, HVAC systems, transmissions, and air brake systems.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and other maintenance apparatus.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately for troubleshooting complex issues.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
