With decades of combined experience in landscape construction as well as design, we do what we love – we craft site- and people-specific ideas and help translate the details into real, built places. To do this, we begin each project thinking like cultivators, stewards, and builders. We're looking for an experienced Landscape Architectural Designer to join our team. This individual will be ready to work on all aspects of landscape design, construction documentation, project management and coordination with consultants and contractors. This position requires excellent communication and relationship-building skills, attention to detail, and a gift for creative problem-solving. Our work is both site-based and remote, and thrives with creative collaboration. Key ResponsibilitiesFoster strong relationships with clients, municipalities, consultants, and contractorsConduct site analyses and prepare accurate existing conditions plans and modelsDevelop visual presentations of curated materials and plant palettesParticipate in site visits, documentation, meeting notes and progress tracking across all phases of design and constructionProduce comprehensive construction documents and specificationsParticipate in project evaluation and continuous MLA learning and outcomes improvement Experience and Skills RequirementsA degree in landscape architecture or a related field.5-7 years of experience working in residential landscape architecture or landscape design.Experience in and passion for regenerative design principles and practices. Proficient with Vectorworks Landmark 2D/3D modeling for project visualization and site data generation for construction plan sets.Strong skills in Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office and project management programs. Experience with Monograph and SketchUp a plus.Proven expertise in designing with California native plants and plant materials that enhance local ecosystems.Strong background in site layout, grading, planting design and irrigation design.Adept with construction costs and project estimatingEffective in observing project construction and engaging in dynamic field design with contractors and clients.
