Job Summary
The HR Coordinator is responsible for providing logistical, administrative, and general support to the People & Culture (HR) team. The position requires strong research, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills to support core HR functions. The position will regularly interface with employees, leaders, and HR vendors/service providers. This individual will play a critical and operational role in supporting the day-to-day management of People & Culture programs, processes, and initiatives.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- None.
- Assist in HR reporting and data analysis.
- Check on background check, MVR, and drug screen results and communicate issues with in-progress candidates to the appropriate recruiter until all screening results have been received.
- Coordinate and lead new hire orientation to help support the onboarding process.
- Conduct and coordinate new hire paperwork, I-9 verification, and HRIS system setup as part of onboarding.
- Demonstrate behaviors and champion company culture essentials, mission, vision, and values.
- Draft and circulate HR-related surveys, compiling and presenting results in a clear, accurate and usable manner.
- Handle HRIS data entry, personnel file updates, and maintain accurate employee records digitally.
- Respond to verification of employment and reference checks.
- Support the logistics and execution of HR programs, processes, and compliance activities.
- Serve as a first point of contact for general HR inquiries and escalate matters as needed.
- Monitor required licenses, certifications, or compliance documents and notify employees and managers of upcoming expirations.
- Support HRIS activity including running reports, assisting employees with system navigation, and helping with the rollout of new features.
- Represent and promote the organization to potential applicants by providing information and responding to questions.
- Suggest new ideas for improving HR processes and engagement by conducting research on various HR topics.
- Perform a broad range of HR and Administrative duties in support of the People & Culture team including but not limited to photocopying, filing, scanning, faxing, mailing, printing, audit support, etc.
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma with at least four years of experience in a professional working environment.
- At least one year experience in Human Resources or relevant HR experience.
- Prior HRIS experience (Paycom or similar software) is a plus.
- Ability to ask questions and use resources and tools.
- Adaptability and flexibility to respond to client and team needs.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in Microsoft Suite and SharePoint.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Strong project management skills, including attention to detail, balancing multiple tasks, speed to completion, overseeing timely and high-quality work, and anticipating future needs.
- Highly observant, empathetic, thoughtful, and ethical characteristics.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
