We are seeking an experienced, hands-on leader to oversee our project management team and the successful execution of multiple industrial fabrication and manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and support a team of project managers responsible for multiple industrial projects.
- Establish clear priorities, expectations, and accountability within the project management department.
- Review project scopes, schedules, budgets, labor requirements, procurement needs, risks, and customer commitments.
- Monitor project costs, progress, billing milestones, change orders, schedules, and profitability.
- Identify projects at risk and ensure timely corrective action.
- Maintain accurate and timely communication with customers and internal departments.
- Coordinate with engineering, purchasing, quality, fabrication, machining, field operations, and company leadership.
- Work with the Fabrication Shop Operations Manager to establish realistic production priorities and delivery schedules.
- Conduct regular project reviews and ensure decisions and follow-up items are documented.
- Support estimating, proposals, contract review, procurement, planning, and change-order management.
- Resolve customer, technical, commercial, scheduling, and operational challenges.
- Ensure project drawings, specifications, approvals, purchasing information, and other documentation are complete and properly maintained.
- Develop project managers through coaching, training, constructive feedback, and increased responsibility.
- Provide leadership with regular updates on project status, financial performance, customer concerns, resource needs, and operational risks.
- Promote cooperation among office, shop, and field employees.
Qualifications
- At least five years of management or project-leadership experience in an industrial environment.
- Experience in the pulp and paper industry is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead project managers and coordinate multiple complex projects.
- Working knowledge of industrial fabrication, manufacturing, construction, or equipment installation.
- Strong understanding of scheduling, budgeting, labor planning, procurement, billing, change orders, quality, and risk management.
- Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, contracts, scopes of work, and project documentation.
- Strong financial awareness and the ability to evaluate project profitability.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Comfortable working with customers, leadership, project teams, vendors, and shop and field employees.
- Proficiency with project-management, ERP, and general business software.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent industrial experience will be considered.
