We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Professional – Demolition / Abatement Construction for our jobsites located in Los Angeles, California.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- To develop, implement and monitor Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Programs, and Procedures.
- To assist in complying with current health and safety legislation and/or regulations with the objective of ensuring that all reasonable and proper measures are taken to protect the safety and health of learners, staff and visitors.
- To increase health and safety awareness at all levels within the organization.
- To investigate and report on all serious/critical personal injury accidents and to assist in the investigation of all accidents/incidents.
- To investigate and report on complaints of hazardous working conditions.
- To respond to employees’ safety concerns.
- To conduct, as necessary, the safety inspection of any jobsite.
- To act as liaison with all related governmental bodies and regulating agencies.
- To coordinate the training of personnel in areas of safety, including first aid, CPR, accident prevention and investigation, workplace inspections and other matters related to implementing safety procedures in jobsites.
- To assume other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must have CHST from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP)
- or Certified Safety Manager-Construction (SMS-C) from the National Association of Safety Professionals (NASP)
- 5 years of recent similar construction experience
- Capable of working independently and with a team environment
- Proficient in MS Project, Excel, Word & Outlook
- Must be a High School graduate
