Cost Estimator
Shift: 1st-optional 8am-5pm Monday through Friday or 6am-4:30pm Monday through Friday
Pay Range: $20-25/hour

Key Responsibilities
- Quoting & Estimating: Analyze customer requirements (RFQs) to create detailed cost models, including raw material usage, tooling concepts, and labor costs.
- Technical Analysis: Read blueprints, GD&T, and manipulate CAD data to determine manufacturing steps, strip layouts, and machine selection.
- Tooling Assessment: Estimate cost and design concepts for metal stamping dies (progressive, transfer, or blanking).
- Vendor Coordination: Source and secure quotes for outside services (plating, heat treating, painting).
- Internal Collaboration: Work with Sales, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure feasibility and accuracy of quotes.
- Experience: 2 years of quoting in stamping/fabrication or 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of metal stamping processes, materials, and tooling.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in 3D CAD software and Excel. Experience with Paperless Parts or ERP software is highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blue prints and technical documentation.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in calculating material, labor, and overhead costs.
- High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is highly desirable.
