Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial aspects of a registered Futures Clearing Merchant (“FCM”), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for the review of monthly books and records, including financial statements, regulatory filings, net capital requirements, and other ongoing deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with net capital requirements of the FCM in accordance with the FINRA Net Capital Rule 15c3-1 by:
- Having an in-depth understanding of the net capital requirements.
- Being well-informed about the Company’s expected activities (new products, withdrawals, and other plans).
- Reviewing intraday and end-of-day net capital computations, and properly notifying management of potential and actual noncompliance.
- Perform financial analysis for various needs, including budgeting and forecasting of business results, as well as responding to inquiries both internally and externally.
- Responsible for the oversight and preparation of the Company’s annual US GAAP audited financial statement and liaising with external auditors on audit and US GAAP-related matters.
- Provide ongoing support for NFA/CME regulatory examinations.
- Responsible for the enhancement, testing, and maintenance of the net capital calculation tool in collaboration with other internal teams.
- Ensure all required month-end reconciliations are performed and reviewed.
- Review relevant sections of the Company’s compliance manual.
- 10 years of experience in financial services.
- Expertise and in-depth knowledge/understanding of the regulatory requirements for a Futures Clearing Merchant (“FCM”) or Broker/Dealer.
- Experience with the rules and requirements for an FCM, including Form 1-FR-FCM filings and instructions, CFTC rules, and other relevant guidance.
- Experience managing and handling regulatory examinations and interacting with regulators.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work with other teams, including Finance, Compliance, Legal, Treasury, Operations, and IT.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to track deadlines effectively.
- CPA license preferred.
- FINRA’s Series 27 or Series 28 license preferred.
Salary : $70,000 - $160,000
