At the present time, Millennium is doubling our capacity and seeking to hire experienced Production Machine Operators to join our growing and profitable company that are looking to advance their careers. Position Responsibilities:
- Operate / Monitor Overwrap Equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops
- Adjust machines as needed for changeovers, different functions or other varying needs of production
- Conduct quality checks periodically
- Read the job jacket to ensure correct product is used
- Observe and monitor input/output, accuracy and efficiency of machine
- Check the expansion symbol to ensure the form is for the correct project
- Ensure the counts are accurate
- Keep a daily activity log of production notes (including totals, defects etc.)
- Ensure a clean, neat, and orderly work area
- Other duties as may be assigned by supervisor
Position Qualifications:
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions on job jackets
- Ability to read and understand product labeling
- Requires high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years related experience which includes setting up and operating overwrap equipment within a printing or similar environment.
- Previous experience operating commercial bindery equipment or operating any other type of machinery is desirable.
- Posses mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
