Shipping/Receiving Coordinator

What You Will Do
The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator works in a utility role by performing a wide variety of work assignments in several areas within our Shipping and Receiving Department which will include shipping, delivery, receiving and warehouse. Such work activities will include the following:

What You Will Do
The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator works in a utility role by performing a wide variety of work assignments in several areas within our Shipping and Receiving Department which will include shipping, delivery, receiving and warehouse. Such work activities will include the following:
- Facilitates the flow and moves materials, supplies, and goods from production facility or to other various staging areas using appropriate equipment such as company vehicle, reach truck, forklift, hand truck or walkie pallet jack
- Prepares small package shipments for domestic and international destinations which includes executing batch import process
- Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with receivers to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from customers
- Observes established safe working and housekeeping procedures and follows all standard operating procedures, work instructions, and ISO requirements
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
- Typically requires a minimum of two years’ experience in fulfillment and/or distribution with working knowledge of inventory control and small package shipping
- Must be well versed in the technology and qualifications of FedEx and UPS small package and LTL shipments as well as possessing a complete understanding of International shipping requirements
- Must demonstrate the ability to create and apply all shipping documentation for outgoing products, both domestically and internationally
- Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of computer shipping systems and basic Microsoft Office software skills is must
- Able to lift a minimum of 30lbs regularly and heavier weight on occasion
- Work experience operating a commercial vehicle; valid NC Driver’s License required
- Forklift certification is desirable
- Night Shift (Required)
- This schedule is a 2-2-3-2 shift rotation, 6pm - 6am.
- This schedule means you will work every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
