What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping & Receiving position at Forma-Fab Metals?
Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Position Summary: Performs inventory management for incoming and outgoing company products and parts necessary to manufacture products
Essential Functions:
- Completes incoming inspection testing, confirmation of certificate of conformance and reconciliation of receiving/purchase documentation
- Notifies and/or delivers incoming product to end user
- Completes daily receiving entries in computer system and distributes to purchasing office for filing
- Manages raw material and critical supply inventories, including maintenance and cleaning of inventory area, inventory organization and racking, inventory cycle counting and reporting, monthly inventory accounting. Actual physical counts of raw material and tag controls required
- Performs general housekeeping, maintenance and organization of the dock and inventory areas; includes hands-on cleaning and maintenance along with organization of the dock and inventory areas; including hands-on cleaning and maintenance along with organization and interpersonal skills to coordinate with other department and outside waste disposal vendor
- Responsible for managing all outbound shipments, including preparation of sequentially numbered paper work in software accounting system, management of packaging materials inventories, packaging of product to be shipped, and arrangement of transportation services. UPS/FedEx software is to be used effectively and understood for summary reporting on request
- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
- Distributes documentation, including transfer of all original documents, to purchasing supervisor
- Must maintain excellent attendance, and expect to work overtime if the need requires
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Assist in other areas as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years experience in shipping and receiving
- Proven leadership and management skills
- Organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in an effective way
Environmental Conditions:
- Humidity level may be elevated during summer months
- Exposure to loud noise, at times
- Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
- This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending kneeling, stooping, etc
Other:
This position also serves as the back up driver, must have a clean driving record.
Salary : $35,009 - $44,878
