Business Services Supervisor

Millennium Physician Group is seeking to hire a full-time/Business Services Supervisor to join our Business Services Team in the Fort Myers, FL, area. We are looking for a new team member who is -positive, energetic, able to multi-task, and loves patient interaction. The Business Services Supervisor is responsible for daily reconciliation paperwork as needed; assists with payroll and assists in the performance review processes for staff. Employee is also responsible to cover the office while manager is out or unavailable and to be available to staff as needed. S/he is responsible for knowing HIPAA and all MPG and insurance carrier polices and be able to train new staff or update current staff. S/he handles and assists with patient complaint resolution. S/he has extensive background in physician, imaging and laboratory billing and has thorough knowledge of MPG systems. S/he is required to keep regular communication with manager to ensure goals and deadlines are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for reconciliation paperwork as needed, i.e., employee productivity and claims reporting.
• Supervises billing staff, i.e., charge entry, payment processing claims scrub.
• Second level supervision AR staff.
• Assists with customer service as needed to facilitate excellent customer service for our patients and co-workers.
• Communicate to manager any patterns identified on claims not processing, back-log on claims to be worked or any variance in the standard established workflow processes.
• Demonstrates knowledge of both Practice Management and EMR systems as they apply to daily responsibilities.

Knowledge

• Knowledge of medical terminology, coding and revenue cycle procedures; has experience with ICD10 coding
• Knowledge of governmental, third party and insurance company regulations that would impact the revenue cycle
• Knowledge of company and financial policies to respond to internal and external inquiries
• Understanding of insurance contracting, regulations and compliance.
• Understanding of set payer guidelines for medical services.
• Knowledge of ADA, HIPAA, ACA, Fair Credit Act, STARK, and Florida regulations as it pertains to billing and staffing.

• Collaborates with operations leadership to resolve revenue cycle matters
• Communicates, verbally or in writing, effectively and with poise to maintain good customer relations and reflection of the group
• Possesses strong analytical abilities to identify, evaluate and resolve problems and conflict
• Can conceptualize a work flow, develop a plan and implement action.
• Can analyze, identify and communicate departmental needs, staff performance, and overall health of the Revenue Cycle based on metrics and benchmarks.
• Remains abreast of relevant regulatory publications and settlements

Required Knowledge and Experience

• Priority given to candidates holding a Bachelor's Degree although related work experience will be considered
• 4 years medical billing experience
• 2 years supervisory experience
