Preschool Teacher Aide / Floater
Millennia Learning Academy is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Preschool Teacher Aide/Floater to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who has a passion for working with young children and is eager to learn, grow, and develop into a lead teacher. The Teacher Aide/Floater plays a vital role in supporting classrooms, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment, and helping children thrive throughout their day.

Qualifications
- Florida DCF 45-Hour Introductory Child Care Training (required).
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare, preschool, or educational setting preferred.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential is a plus but not required.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.
Primary ResponsibilitiesClassroom Support
- Assist lead teachers with daily classroom routines and activities.
- Help prepare learning materials, classroom centers, and educational activities.
- Support children during circle time, small groups, outdoor play, meals, rest time, and transitions.
- Provide one-on-one assistance to children when needed.
Child Care & Supervision
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
- Build positive, nurturing relationships with children while encouraging independence and confidence.
- Help children develop appropriate social skills through positive guidance and encouragement.
- Assist with potty training, diapering (when applicable), handwashing, and other daily care routines.
Floater Responsibilities
- Provide coverage in classrooms as needed for teacher breaks, planning time, meetings, and absences.
- Adapt quickly to different age groups and classroom routines.
- Maintain consistency and professionalism while supporting multiple classrooms throughout the day.
Classroom Environment
- Help maintain a clean, organized, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
- Assist with cleaning and sanitizing toys, materials, and classroom areas in accordance with licensing standards.
- Organize supplies and prepare classrooms for daily activities.
Professional Growth
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn classroom management, lesson implementation, and child development best practices.
- Work toward becoming a Lead Teacher through mentorship, continued education, and hands-on experience.
