Summary
Responsible to assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders. Assume primary responsibility for all respiratory care modalities, including the supervision of respiratory therapy technicians. Initiate and conduct therapeutic procedures; maintain patient records; and select, assemble, check, and operate equipment. Responsible for clinical coordination of inpatient, outpatient and the sleep lab.
This role supports multiple areas of the health system, including but not limited to, hospital, clinic, and outpatient needs.
Job Duties

- Maintains licensure as required by profession.
- Performs clinical duties and assisting during times of high patient volume or high patient acuity.
- Monitors bulk oxygen fill volume monthly.
- Inspects oxygen tank capacity and storage 4 times a year in the ER and acute care.
- Contacts 80% of patients the week after their sleep study with results; 100% within two weeks.
- Coordinates services of sleep lab with the sleep service provider, durable medical equipment companies and
MLHS.

Required Education and Experience
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
64 hours per pay period. Serve as vacation relief and back up to Cardiac Rehab.
