SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF CLASSIFICATION: Under direction of the school Principal and CTE Director, to develop in each student insight and understanding of the industry and its place in our society. Plan, prepare, implement, monitor, and evaluate a quality competency-based Engineering program leading to the development of student skills sufficient to qualify for entry-level employment and/or post-secondary education using effective instruction with all students.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Teaches skills and knowledge in the area of Engineering, utilizing NH DOE CTE competencies for Engineering and locally developed curriculum and other appropriate learning activitiesPlan, prepare, implement, monitor, and evaluate a quality competency-based Engineering program leading to the development of student skills sufficient to qualify for entry-level employment and/or post-secondary education using effective instruction with all studentsUnderstanding of the teaching/learning processAbility to provide instruction that reflects multiple perspectives and multicultural educationAbility to infuse technology into the curriculumAbility to work and communicate effectively with administrators, colleagues, central office and school based staff, students, parents and communityGuides students at appropriate work-based learning opportunities including overseeing the Engineering Lab and equipmentAdvises the Engineering Career and Technical Student Organization, HOSAMaintains an active advisory committee consisting of industry representatives, prior and current studentsKeeps informed of the industry's job entry requirements and instructs students in the rudiments of getting and retaining these jobsComplete other duties as assigned by the CTE DirectorFollow District policies and proceduresEDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in the applicable field of education from an accredited college or university.
