What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian position at Milford School District?
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of the Lead Custodian and Director of Buildings and Grounds, this position is responsible for performing regular custodial work to ensure that the building is maintained at a level that meets the District’s standards & guidelines in support of the educational, extra & co-curricular programs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Prior experience of a similar nature, familiarity with tools and machinery and knowledge and skills of basic custodial duties are preferred.
Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions.
Ability to read and write English.
EDUCATION, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or completion of a standard High School course or an equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skill and ability
CERTIFICATE LICENSE:
None required.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Full-time, 2nd shift. Additional hours and weekends may be occasionally required.
