Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)
Location: Cooper City & Pembroke Pines, FL
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Positions Available: Part-Time & Per Diem (PRN)

Position Overview
As a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT), you will provide direct support and supervision to clients in a residential setting during non-clinical hours. This role is essential to maintaining a safe, structured environment and supporting clients in their day-to-day recovery process.
You will work closely with clinical and operations teams while ensuring client safety, engagement, and adherence to program expectations.
Scheduling Needs
- Part-Time: Weekend and Overnight desired
- Per Diem (PRN): Flexible, as-needed coverage
- All shifts available, including evenings, weekends, and overnights
Key Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and support to clients in a residential setting
- Conduct routine safety checks and wellness rounds
- Support meal supervision and daily living activities
- Transport clients using company vehicle (14-passenger shuttle; no CDL required)
- Document shift notes and observations in EMR (Kipu preferred)
- Communicate effectively with clinical and leadership teams
- Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment
- Complete required checklists, logs, and safety documentation
- Uphold professional boundaries, ethics, and confidentiality standards
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Experience in behavioral health, residential treatment, or healthcare setting preferred
- Familiarity with Kipu EMR preferred (willing to train)
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and observational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Must pass Level II background screening (https://info.flclearinghouse.com)
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in an eating disorder treatment setting
- Experience in residential or inpatient behavioral health programs
- Experience with meal support, redirection, and milieu management
- Prior experience in a Joint Commission (JCAHO)-accredited facility
