Milestone Therapy is looking for a Director of Behavioral Services for our growing pediatric therapy company. Make no mistake, this is a senior leadership position responsible for the performance, growth, and facilitating accountability within Milestone Therapy’s behavioral department. This role holds a valuable seat at our leadership table and is expected to drive outcomes, lead through change, and represent the organization with credibility across internal teams and external partners.
This position is ideal for a behavioral health leader that wants to steer our pediatric ABA department as well as push into other areas down the line. With a team of managers that operate in a variety of environments, you will own results and balance operational demands with clinical integrity .
As a new Director, you’ll be helping all of Milestone at the leadership table, finding common sense solutions with our Medical Director and their team, as well as coordinating with operations, finance, and collaborating directly to the CEO. In the end, this level of interaction and input should empower any great leader to effectively manage and live up to our standard of Pediatrics - Done Right!

- Lead department-level change initiatives with clarity and consistency through trust
- Support program expansion, service line development, and scalability
- Manage growth in a way that protects quality, culture, and team engagement
- Own department-level financial performance, productivity benchmarks, and utilization targets
- Monitor scorecard KPIs and outcomes, taking quick and decisive action when performance trends fall below expectations
- Partner with operations and finance to support sustainable growth and resource planning
- Serve as a senior leader and point of contact for school districts, hospitals, and contracted partners
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships grounded in trust and mutual accountability
- Ensure service delivery meets partner expectations while aligning with Milestone Therapy standards
- Lead, manage, and hold staff accountable to both performance and professional expectations
- Address performance concerns directly and respectfully through coaching and corrective action when necessary
- Foster a team culture that values responsibility, collaboration, and is rooted in trust
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, departmental standards, and contracted stakeholder site requirements
- Maintain ethical, regulatory, and payer compliance across all behavioral services
- Proactively identify and address clinical, operational, and compliance risks using data and evidence-based practices
- BCBA credential is required
- Licensure in IL as a BCBA is required (or willingness to obtain)
- In addition to the above, we are looking for candidates to have at least five years of clinical therapy experience combined with departmental (not just staff) management-related experience OR a Masters, Bachelors, or Associates degree in business administration / management-related field
- Demonstrated success managing teams, performance metrics, and compliance to hit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual goals
- Strong communicator capable of leading, balancing scorecard metrics and empathy
- Executive-level leadership seat with real ownership and influence
