Milestone Equipment Holdings is one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing transportation equipment leasing and rental providers. Milestone boasts a national network of 70 locations, with over 100,000 new and used OTR trailers, chassis, and containers.
We are seeking a professional to educate and solicit prospective and current customers in the transportation industry. This position will primarily sell products, services or schedule appointments for outside salespeople. Additionally, this person will also participate and possibly coordinate marketing campaigns or provide other assistance to senior sales personnel. The position spends most of the day working in a light duty office environment seated at a desk.
Essential Functions
- Act proactively to create opportunities for new business with existing customers.
- Drive new business by participating in lead generation campaigns; pre-qualifying leads and assessing customer needs.
- Deliver prepared sales campaigns that describe products or services and persuade potential customers to purchase our products.
- Explain services provided and answer questions from customers and prospects.
- Record names addresses, and reactions of customers and prospects contacted in company CRM system.
- Adjust sales campaigns to better target the needs and interests of customers and prospects.
- Obtain names and telephone numbers of potential customers from list purchased from organization, and update company CRM system.
- Act as primary administrator of Milestone Equipment Co. CRM solution. Input, develop and maintain records of prospects, contacts, leads, opportunities, accounts and orders.
- Ability to actively listen and understand what our customers are saying and asking questions at appropriate times.
- Assist with marketing and branding efforts.
- Assume other responsibilities as assigned. (Other responsibilities is defined as temporary tasks that assist in the success, maintenance, or safety of the staff and facilities)
- Represent Milestone Equipment Holdings and all subsidiaries in a professional manner at all times.
Standard Job Specifications
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Associate degree in business related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with inside sales.
- Strong typing and computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent phone skills.
- Must have a friendly and upbeat attitude consistently.
- Demonstrate a positive and professional image.
- Must be comfortable in speaking with prospects and customers.
- Flexible and adaptable to the changing workflow and needs of the business.
- Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and office equipment.
- Ability to multitask and maintain a positive attitude.
Preferred Job Specifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
- 5 years of proven experience and success with inside sales positions.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office.
