The Field Engineer is responsible for providing support and engineering expertise for field operations, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. The Field Engineer plays a crucial role in monitoring and improving field processes, conducting inspections, and assisting in the implementation of engineering solutions to enhance productivity and sustainability within Milestone Environmental Services.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for field operations, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational regulations.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and maintenance of equipment and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to optimize operational efficiency.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to identify potential improvements.
- Assist in developing and implementing engineering solutions for process enhancements.
- Analyze operational data and generate reports with actionable recommendations.
- Work closely with contractors and vendors to ensure project specifications are met.
- Ensure proper documentation of field activities, including work reports and compliance records.
- Train and support field teams on engineering best practices and technical procedures.
- Project management and coordination at all facilities.
- Procurement of resources and resource management.
- Advance surveying and data collection, using drone technology.
- Regulatory inspections and compliance.
- Electrical and Mechanical problem solving.
- Logistics and administrative contributions, handling offsite equipment to sites when needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with three to five (3-5) years in a field support position or an equivalent education experience combination in an Engineering role.
- Oil and gas industry experience preferred.
- Advanced degree a plus.
- Experience implementing HSE strategies, programs and best practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and engineering software tools (AutoCAD, GIS, or similar).
- Experience with programming and troubleshooting IDEC, Allan Bradley, RedLion etc. PLC’s and HMI’s. preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulatory standards.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, field-based environments.
- Proactive and adaptable, able to respond to challenges quickly.
