Job Description:
As the product manager, you will report to and work directly with the senior product manager. The team will be responsible for developing and executing the product strategy roadmap, maintaining our product portfolio, understanding competing product lines, and ensuring that our products are successful in the market. You will work collaboratively with sales, marketing, operations, and finance to achieve goals and objectives.
1. Develop short- and long-range roadmap for our product lines to achieve strategic goals and maximize revenue and profit objectives. Maintain a product portfolio strategy through the entire product life cycle, including new product launches, product modifications, promotions, and end of life discontinuations.
2. Provide strategic and specific recommendations for growth. Seek out, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities for new product additions, product improvements, and other growth prospects. Contribute to design inputs, determine testing requirements, collaborate on packaging, and determine product positioning & pricing. Work together with engineering to set product priorities and targeted release dates.
3. Collaborate with marketing department to develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans and content. Provide direction and ensure timely execution of marketing programs for product launches, product modifications, and promotions to drive sales. Adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
4. Be the market & end user expert through interaction with sales, retail customers, and end users through a variety of venues. Continuously gather and analyze competitive product information, market trends and customer insights. Analyze sales trends over time and impact of competitive strategies. Translate that research into marketing programs and product portfolio expansions and improvements.
5. Serve as the product expert on performance, functionality, pricing, packaging, merchandising, and value propositions to internal and external customers. Provide product-related assistance to other areas of the company as needed.
6. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY
Minimum 5 years of experience in consumer products.
Strong math skills, ability to manage and justify costs and expenses.
University degree preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
