Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care and will be responsible for assisting the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the clinic. The Dental Assistant will also play a key role in maintaining a clean and organized environment while adhering to all safety and infection control protocols.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare patients for dental procedures by taking vital signs and reviewing medical history.
- Manage patient records and documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Operate dental equipment, including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging devices.
- Maintain an aseptic technique and follow infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental clinic's front desk duties as needed, including medical documentation and coding.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality care in pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialties.
- Stay current with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in dental technology.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with familiarity in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft being advantageous.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
- Proficiency in medical records management and medical terminology is essential.
- Experience with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques is required.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23.58 - $28.39 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 30 per week
