What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Production position at MILES FIBERGLASS & COMPOSITES INC?
Employees will read and use measuring devices requiring basic math skills. Must be able to use the following air tools: diamond saws, cigarette saws, pistol grip grinders and D.A. sanders and the following power tools: buffers, and grinders. Must use touch up spray guns and various hand tools. Must identify and repair quality imperfections on various products without direct supervision. Must be able to follow production scheduling and fill out reporting sheets.
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Versatility is preferred as employee may be assigned work in other departments. Experience and demonstrated skill in gelcoating.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employee shall be required to stand continuously during the work shift. Work will be performed at waist level, requiring repetitive bending, and much of the work is performed while bent at the waist. The work requires twisting motions side to side while carrying up to 50 lbs. The job requires repetitive lifting of 10 lbs. With occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Requires lifting and carrying of 35 lbs. Position requires good eyesight.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Basic reading, writing and math skills. Employee must be willing to work in dusty and noisy conditions.
