This position supports recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, payroll processing, compliance, employee relations, and organizational development initiatives.This role is essential in ensuring that MCC continues to attract, retain, and support talented faculty and staff who serve our students and community.Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate full-cycle recruitment processes, including job postings, search committees, and onboarding
- Administer employee benefits programs and serve as liaison with insurance providers
- Process and reconcile monthly payroll
- Maintain HRIS records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and Montana University System (MUS) regulations
- Provide guidance to supervisors and employees on HR policies and procedures
- Support employee engagement, morale, and recognition initiatives
- Assist with leave management, workers’ compensation, and reporting requirements
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in all personnel mattersQualificationsRequired:
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience with payroll processing and HR administrative functions
- High level of discretion and confidentialityPreferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Experience in higher education or public-sector HR
