Sales Account Manager – Life Science Research Solutions
Location: Boston, MA, USA
Reporting to: Head of Global Business Development

Our portfolio includes primary cells, RUO and GMP grade reagents, and advanced cell-based solutions designed to support academic research, biotechnology companies, and pharmaceutical drug discovery programs.
As part of our expansion in North America and global markets, we are seeking a Sales Account Manager based in the Boston area to drive commercial growth, develop customer relationships, and expand our sales channels within the life science research market.
Position Summary
The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by developing new customer relationships, managing key accounts, and expanding sales channels within the academic, biotech, and pharmaceutical sectors.
This role requires a proactive sales professional with experience in life science research products, particularly in areas such as cell biology, primary cells, or research reagents. The ideal candidate will have strong prospecting abilities, the ability to build long-term customer relationships, and a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities within academic institutions, biotech companies, and pharmaceutical organizations
- Execute sales prospecting strategies to generate new leads and expand the customer pipeline
- Manage the full sales cycle including prospecting, qualification, quotation, negotiation, and closing
- Achieve and exceed assigned revenue targets
Account Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic accounts
- Understand customer research needs and provide tailored product solutions
- Deliver product presentations and technical discussions when appropriate
Channel Development
- Identify and develop sales channel partners and distributors in relevant geographic markets
- Collaborate with channel partners to expand market reach and drive revenue growth
Market Intelligence
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs in the life science research market
- Provide feedback to internal teams to improve product positioning and commercial strategy
Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, technical support, product managers, and operations teams to support customer needs
- Represent the company at industry conferences, scientific meetings, and trade shows
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related life science field
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience in life science research products, reagents, or related scientific solutions
- Demonstrated experience in life science sales, business development, or account management
- Strong understanding of cell biology and laboratory research workflows
- Proven ability to build customer relationships and close sales opportunities
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience selling primary cells, cell culture products, or research reagents
- Existing network within biotech, pharmaceutical, or academic research institutions
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset with high execution capability
