Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Overnight Caregivers to provide high-quality care to residents in a supportive and safe environment. This role involves assisting individuals with their daily needs during overnight hours, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in long-term care settings, excellent patient observation skills, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of those they serve.
Responsibilities
- Monitor residents’ health status through regular observation of vital signs and overall condition
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA guidelines
- Provide meal preparation and feeding assistance as needed during overnight hours
- Support residents with dementia or memory care needs, including Alzheimer's care and behavioral management
- Utilize proper lifting techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts for resident transfers
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient observations, medication administration, and care activities
- Follow prescribed care plans tailored to individual needs, including hospice or palliative care protocols
- Ensure a clean and safe environment by assisting with light cleaning tasks in resident rooms and common areas
- Respond promptly to emergencies or changes in residents’ conditions, including patient monitoring and first aid if necessary
- Collaborate with healthcare teams, social workers, and family members to deliver comprehensive care
Skills
- Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments
- Knowledge of patient care procedures including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer's care
- Strong patient observation skills with the ability to recognize changes in condition or behavior
- Ability to assist with ADLs and perform heavy lifting safely using appropriate equipment such as Hoyer lifts
- CPR and First Aid certification required; additional certifications in hospice or memory care are a plus
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of resident information
- Compassionate demeanor with excellent communication skills for working with seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or other special needs populations
- Experience working with residents requiring specialized support such as resident's
or those needing assistance with mobility or behavioral challenges - Ability to work overnight shifts reliably while maintaining professionalism and patience throughout the shift

We are looking for someone from 6PM-4AM 3-4 Days a week. Experience with turning and CPAP is highly preferred.
