Schedule: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period; 8:00am - 4:30pm

Position Summary:
The Patient Accounts Supervisor position supervises employees in the patient account department that are directly responsible for the daily oversight of operational processes and workflows specific to MBMC's revenue cycle.
Position Responsibilities:
- Supervise patient account department.
- Ensure that patients or insurance providers are billed quickly and accurately according to each insurances billing guidelines.
- Ensure that employees send claims to be processed and collect and post payments from either insurance companies or from self-pay patients.
- Provide refunds if appropriate.
- Keep track of employee attendance. Do monthly rounding with each employee. Conduct each employee's annual review. Interview and hire for positions that are open within the department.
- Speak to patients or insurance customer service reps to resolve problems and attend to inquiries regarding accounts.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related preferred.
- 5 years of related work experience required.
- Experience working in a medical billing or related medical field required.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Intermediate to expert proficiency with computers is required.
- Knowledge of medical insurance systems (Medicare, Medicaid, etc.) required.
- Knowledge of medical billing and coding.
- Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to have continuous oral and written communication with co-workers and supervisors is essential.
