Milacron is looking for a PET Application Engineer to join our team in Batavia, OH. As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for sizing machines for new applications and collaborating with the sales teams and customers to ensure that Milacron’s equipment complements and fits the customer’s desired application, thereby ensuring optimum cycle time and reliability. You will also work closely with sales engineers, product managers, customers, and other Milacron stakeholders to ensure success during customer mold trials, sales demo mold trials, and testing of injection molding machines.

Work You'll Do
- Advise and support sales and customers in selecting the correct equipment for specific PET applications
- Provide technical support and direction for new and existing product lines
- Travel 30-50% of the time for customer training, presentations, machine/cycle optimization, field installations, and trade shows
- Direct the work of process engineers and service engineers to collect data for machine sizing
- Assist process engineers in installing customer molds for machine demonstrations and sales acceptance
- Become a subject matter expert on all Milacron control systems
- Design and perform testing for future sizing requirements and machine design criteria
- Complete and document machine/processing testing
- Provide technical reports to customers, engineering, and suppliers
- Communicate professionally with the sales and engineering teams, customers, and the organization
- Technical degree in an engineering-related field with 2 years of experience in application engineering or technical support, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Proficient in 3D CAD modeling and analysis software
- Strong mechanical aptitude, with understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and thermodynamic systems
- Knowledge of injection molding processes and tooling, PET preforms
