Job Overview

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential spaces, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, and outdoor spaces as needed
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe and hygienic environment in accordance with health standards
• Clean surfaces such as countertops, appliances, windows, mirrors, and furniture using appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment
• Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming carpets, and polishing hard floors to maintain their appearance and longevity
• Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing clothing and linens efficiently
• Manage outdoor work responsibilities like patio cleaning or yard tidying when required
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand specific cleaning preferences and address any special requests or concerns

Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential cleaning or housekeeping roles; janitorial or custodial experience is highly valued but training programs are available.
• Knowledge of cleaning detergents, equipment operation, and sanitation standards
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of furniture or equipment safely
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently within scheduled timeframes
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients
• Experience with carpet cleaning and floor care techniques is preferred
• Outdoor work experience is a plus for handling exterior cleaning tasks effectively
