Stump Grinder Operator / Tree Service Crew Member – Outdoor Work

Mike's Professional Tree Service is hiring a Stump Grinder Operator / Tree Service Crew Member to join our team. This is a hands-on outdoor position focused primarily on stump grinding, with additional responsibilities supporting tree crew operations and equipment work.

Prior experience with equipment operation or tree service work is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who is dependable and motivated.

Responsibilities

· Operate a stump grinder safely and efficiently at job sites

· Work with a crew member to complete daily stump grinding jobs

· Assist with raking, cleanup, and feeding brush into a wood chipper

· Occasionally drive chip trucks between job sites

· Operate equipment such as a front-end loader to move materials

· Assist with firewood processing, including use of processing equipment

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements

· Valid driver’s license (DOT medical card required upon hire)

· Ability to perform physical outdoor work in typical New England conditions

· Comfortable working outdoors in varying temperatures

· Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs

· Reliable, safety-minded, and willing to learn

· Ability to work well with a team

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

· Experience operating stump grinders, skid steers, or loaders

· Background in tree service, landscaping, or construction

· Experience with chainsaws or wood processing equipment
