Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Diesel Mechanic Service Technician to join our team! In this role, you will perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of heavy-duty equipment, including trucks, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and more. Your expertise will keep our fleet operating smoothly and safely, supporting our commitment to quality service.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and air brake systems on heavy equipment and vehicles
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, shocks & struts replacement, and brake repairs
- Fabricate parts or components as needed using power tools, welding equipment, and hand tools
- Read schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues effectively
- Perform heavy lifting and assist with equipment assembly or disassembly during repairs or upgrades
- Use automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure all repairs meet safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or service technician with dealership experience preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and farm machinery
- Skilled in fabrication, welding, soldering, and using power tools for repair work
- Ability to read schematics and perform electrical diagnostics confidently
- Knowledge of HVAC systems on industrial equipment is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions
- Valid certifications related to diesel engine repair, air brake systems, hydraulics, or similar fields are advantageous

Pay: $27.98 - $33.69 per hour
