We’re a locally owned, independent insurance agency looking for a Construction-Focused Insurance Producer to grow and manage a profitable book of commercial insurance accounts. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven producer who enjoys helping contractors protect their business and is ready to thrive in a supportive, flexible, and entrepreneurial environment.
What You’ll Do
- Build your book: Prospect, network, and develop new business opportunities in the construction and trades sector (GCs, subcontractors, developers, etc.)
- Be a risk advisor: Assess client needs and tailor insurance programs including General Liability, Workers Comp, Inland Marine, Builder’s Risk, Umbrella, Auto, and more.
- Drive growth: Meet and exceed production goals with a focus on long-term, profitable accounts.
- Stay connected: Conduct annual policy reviews, identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities, and deliver exceptional service to your clients.
- Partner with carriers: Navigate market appetites, help to secure competitive quotes, and advocate for your clients through the underwriting process.
What You Bring
- Valid P&C insurance license.
- 5 years of experience in sales (construction experience highly preferred).
- Knowledge of certificates, endorsements, additional insured language, and common contractor insurance requirements preferred.
- Strong local connections in the building trades or construction industry a plus.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
- Solid organizational skills and a working knowledge of common agency systems (e.g., Applied Epic, SalesForce).
