Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Automotive Title Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing vehicle title processing, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of title procedures, research skills, and familiarity with relevant laws to facilitate smooth transactions and maintain accurate records. The Automotive Title Clerk plays a vital role in supporting the dealership’s operations by efficiently handling all title-related documentation and inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Process vehicle titles accurately and efficiently in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Research title histories, liens, and ownership details using various databases and tools such as GIS systems
- Ensure all documentation complies with legal standards, as applicable to vehicle titles
- Coordinate with DMV offices, lienholders, and customers to facilitate timely title transfers
- Maintain organized records of all title transactions and related correspondence
- Assist customers with inquiries regarding title status and documentation requirements
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Stay updated on changes in title processing procedures and legal requirements to ensure ongoing compliance
Experience
- Prior experience in title processing or related administrative roles preferred
- Knowledge and legal documentation processes advantageous
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and internal teams
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all transactions
