Part-Time: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team. As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the ophthalmologist in various administrative and clinical tasks. ```Responsibilities:```
- Greet and prepare patients for their ophthalmic examinations

- obtain and record a medical history
- Perform preliminary tests such as visual acuity, color vision, etc
- Assist with diagnostic procedures including visual field testing, and fundus photography
- Provide patient education on eye health, contact lens care, and post-operative instructions
- Administer eye drops and medications as directed by the ophthalmologist
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
- Assist with scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and processing billing information
- Clean and sterilize ophthalmic instruments and equipment
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety guidelines

```Skills:```
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to provide compassionate care
- Knowledge of ocular anatomy and common eye conditions
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to be ophthalmology

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
