```Responsibilities:```
- Greet and prepare patients for their ophthalmic examinations
- obtain and record a medical history
- Perform preliminary tests such as visual acuity, color vision, etc
- Assist with diagnostic procedures including visual field testing, and fundus photography
- Provide patient education on eye health, contact lens care, and post-operative instructions
- Administer eye drops and medications as directed by the ophthalmologist
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
- Assist with scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and processing billing information
- Clean and sterilize ophthalmic instruments and equipment
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety guidelines
